Adam Sandler appears to live by the motto, 'Go big or go home,' as that's exactly what he did to mark his 23rd wedding anniversary with his wife, Jackie.
The Happy Gilmore star certainly doesn't do things by halves and made sure everyone knew how much he still loves his wife after over two decades together.
To celebrate their special day on Monday, June 22, Adam enlisted the help of a skywriter to share his declaration of love in the sky.
A plane flew above him and Jackie and spelled out: "23 A [loves] J," in the cloudless, blue sky, signifying the number of years they have been married and their initials drawn in between a heart.
Adam shared a photo of the romantic moment on Instagram, captioning the photo: "Happy 23rd anniversary to my sweetheart. Love you forever."
Adam met Jackie while on the set of his 1999 classic Big Daddy, in which she had a small role as a waitress.
They tied the knot on June 22, 2003, at Dick Clark's oceanfront estate in Malibu, California, in front of a reported 400 glittery guests; among them were Jennifer Aniston, Jack Nicholson, Rob Schneider, and Sharon Osbourne.
They are now parents to two daughters, Sadie, 20, and Sunny, 17, both of whom have followed in their parents' footsteps.
Sadie stars in the Netflix comedy Roommates, which was produced by Adam's production company, Happy Madison, while both appeared in Happy Gilmore 2 and in the Netflix film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and Leo.
"My kids couldn't be prouder of whatever they're working [on] and going after whatever they want," Adam told People in 2025. "I'm just always pulling for them, like every parent.
"I tell them to make sure you feel good about what you do and how hard you worked, and you judge yourself," he shared. "Don't let too many people try to get in your head. If you feel like you gave it your all, that's all you can ask."
Meanwhile, Adam's public display of affection comes after he was criticized for seemingly making no effort with his appearance at the premiere of Jackie's new movie, Office Romance, in May.
He arrived at the star-studded world premiere wearing an oversized orange Knicks hoodie, blue sweatpants, and sneakers.
Jackie, meanwhile, looked beautiful in a glittery, black mini-dress, black tights, and heels.
Despite Adam's penchant for laid-back dressing, no matter the occasion, fans were divided over this appearance, with many criticising him for the "embarrassing" display.
"I feel like it's one thing when he's promoting or doing his own projects but for his wife's work you think he could throw on some khakis and a golf shirt at least lol," one person commented on Reddit.
There were some who defended Adam, however, with one commenting: "Its his shtick why are we surprised lol."
While fans may have been divided over his look, his wife is happy for him to dress comfortably.
"My wife always was nice to me about my clothes. Even when we were young, others would say, 'Would you put on something better than that? Your wife's dressed so beautifully,'" he previously told Complex.
"My wife would say, 'He's comfortable like that. Let him do that. Leave him alone.'"
