Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have once again shown their strong family bond, proving that they remain committed to amicably raising their two daughters together.
The actress paid tribute to her ex-husband on Father's Day with a special social media post. Nicole took to her Instagram Stories to share a pair of black-and-white family photographs. The first snap captured a young Nicole smiling as she cuddled her late father, Antony Kidman. The second picture showed Keith carrying his daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, on his back.
Alongside the photos, Nicole penned: "Happy Father's Day to all the fathers."
The star's post comes after Keith shared his first public message to Nicole following their divorce. The country music star took to social media on June 20 to wish his ex-wife a happy birthday as she turned 59. Against a colorful backdrop, Keith simply wrote: "Happy birthday Nicole Mary."
Nicole and Keith married in June 2006 after first meeting in 2005, and welcomed two daughters while together, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. In September of 2025, news suddenly broke that the couple had separated after nearly 20 years of marriage, with their divorce finalized just a few months later in January of 2026, sighting "irreconcilable differences". "They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent," their marital dissolution agreement read. "They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families."
Divorce coach Arabella Paul previously spoke to us about the advice she shares about the impact of separation on families.. Arabella stressed that it is important to remain "civil", explaining: "'Love your kids more than you hate your partner' is a phrase I often say. Divorce is not bad for your children; it's the conflicts that cause issues, be it conflicts in divorce or conflicts in the marriage."
Arabella also advises to "talk to yourself positively" during these tough times. The court documents, which the actress signed on September 6, detail how they plan to co-parent their children. While Nicole will be the "primary residential parent" to the girls and care for them 306 days out of the year, Keith will have custody for just 59 days.
Keith will look after his daughters from 10am on Saturdays to 6pm on Sundays every other weekend. Major holidays will be split between the pair, with Nicole having her daughters on Mother's Day and Easter, and Keith having them on Father's Day and Thanksgiving. Neither Nicole nor Keith will be required to pay child support, with the document stating that the singer has "already prepaid all child support obligations".
