Nicole Kidman has opened up about shifting her focus from acting to producing, explaining how the move has given her a newfound sense of creative freedom.
In a new video for Clé de Peau Beauté, Nicole reflected on her career in Hollywood. "Producing is something that happened to me later in my career," she said. "It was an opportunity where I could take control of my destiny. When you're a producer, you're in the driver's seat. And that's exciting and I love being a part of that."
Nicole exuded chic in the clip, dressed in a gray tailored suit that featured an oversized blazer and streamlined pants. The set was styled with a baby-blue shirt with a white collar and a navy tie.

Nicole Kidman's career pivot
Last year, Nicole revealed that she keeps a journal and often writes down her dreams before burning them – a ritual that’s sparked her interest in pursuing writing more seriously. "I’m contemplating writing," she told Vogue. "But there’s a wealth of things I am compiling in my little psyche."
© FilmMagicThe actress is yet to direct or write – something she attributed to simply never having had the time. "Writing would be," said Nicole before the Vogue journalist replied, "A departure". "Or maybe a necessity," she countered.
In the April edition of HELLO!, Nicole reflected on her successful career. "I just think how lucky I have been and how lucky I still am to be a working actor. I am so grateful to have a job that I love. It's an amazing gift that I have been given," she shared.

© Getty ImagesNicole's comment came after she filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years, citing "irreconcilable differences". Nicole and Kieth Urban tied the knot in June 2006 after first meeting in 2005, and welcomed two daughters while together, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
"They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent," their marital dissolution agreement read. "They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families."
