Melissa McCarthy enjoyed a special reunion earlier this month, with a very dear friend.
The Hollywood star took to Instagram to share a stunning new selfie with actor Richard E. Grant, during a visit to London with her family.
The actress, along with her husband Ben Falcone and their two daughters, met up with Richard for dinner, and a good time was had by all. In the selfie, Melissa looked fantastic, dressed in a white jacket teamed with a shirt, patterned skirt and gold jewelry.
The 55-year-old wore her hair scraped back in a bun, and opted for a smokey eye look and flawless complexion. Richard, meanwhile, looked dapper in a blue and white shirt.
Melissa's fans were quick to comment on her appearance, with one writing: "Gorgeous picture, you look absolutely beautiful," while another wrote: "You look beautiful." A third added, "You both look fantastic."
The actress has been looking happier and healthier than ever over the past few months and is embracing her body and changing up her wardrobe to include figure-hugging dresses, bright jumpsuits, and slinky gowns.
The Bridesmaid actress has always been candid about her fluctuating weight, not to mention the fluctuations in confidence in her own body, although her perspective on beauty shifted when she hit her 30s.
She joined the cast of Gilmore Girls at the age of 30, and three years later underwent an extreme doctor-supervised, all-liquid diet of 500 calories a day, which led to her losing 70 lbs. in four months. She has since said she would never make that choice again, and in the years that followed Melissa embraced her body and her looks by learning to be kinder to herself and not trying to please everyone, coming to understand the unrealistic standards imposed on women by the world at large.
Her husband's unwavering love was also a huge support, with Melissa sharing that his constant love and kindness helped her realize she was okay with who she was, and that if someone did not like her, "that's okay too.".
Melissa and Ben are doting parents to teenage daughters, Vivian and Georgette. She previously opened up about parenting in an interview with Michigan Avenue Magazine, calling parenting her children "extreme everything".
"It's extremely tiring. It's extremely overwhelming in a good way. You just don't sleep when you have two kids. But they're so funny. The bigger they get, the weirder and the funnier and their true personalities come out. And they just surprise me every day," she said.
