Graham Norton was among the star-studded guests invited to what has been dubbed the wedding of the year – Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish nuptials at Madison Square Garden.

The talk show host opened up about the wedding during a chat on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show. Graham shared that it was "a lovely wedding", but revealed there were certain details he would not have had on his own big day.

"You saw things, you know, 'Oh, that's a lovely touch,' and then you saw things, like, 'Oh, I wouldn't have done that'," he said. Graham explained that "the big exciting" moment was in the anticipation of the event.

"Being in the car, the big black car, and New York is all shut down, and you’re heading toward Madison Square Garden," he recalled. "That was like, 'Oh, my God. Oh, my God. What’s it gonna be like?' And then you went through these big curtains and the car’s there, and you get out of the car. The minute you got out of the car, you were at a wedding."

Taylor and Travis Kelce tied the knot on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler. The singer chose her brother as Man of Honor, and Travis chose his brother Jason as Best Man.

There was a black-tie dress code, with women expected to wear floor-length dresses while men would wear a tuxedo with a jacket, black bow tie and matching satin striped trousers. Taylor chose a bespoke Christian Dior Haute Couture wedding gown for her big day. The dress was designed by the maison's newly appointed creative director, Jonathan Anderson, making the bride's gown his first couture wedding dress. The singer completed her bridal look with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and elegant Cartier jewellery. Her husband also opted for a custom Dior Haute Couture suit.

Travis Kelce's first comments on wedding to Taylor Swift

On August 12, Travis Kelce broke his silence about the wedding as he chatted to reporters at training camp. "It was a fun offseason, man," he said. "Wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us."

Kelce added it was "a crazy night" and that the evening was "full of a lot of celebration," before explaining to reporters he's now switching his focus to "football, baby."

Taylor Swift and Graham Norton's friendship

Taylor hinted at the scale of her wedding more than a year ago during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. "So you're going big," asked the host. "I just, meaning that I was going to invite you to it," replied Taylor.

Taylor admitted that she was not stressed about planning the nuptials. She explained that everyone would know when it happened, that it would be a large spectacle, and that she would invite everyone she had ever spoken to.

"I know it's going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and you and people are on the bubble. Right? And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if these should be there. I'm not gonna do that," she shared.
