Taylor Swift tied the knot with her partner of three years, Travis Kelce, on 3 July. The lavish celebration was said to spare no expense, with the spectacular ceremony taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York City and welcomed an estimated 1,000 guests.
Taylor has never been one to do things by halves, and she even hinted at the scale of her wedding more than a year ago during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. While many had speculated that she would opt for an intimate ceremony abroad, others expected a lavish celebration closer to home. It has now become apparent that Taylor had told us all along that she planned to go big.
"So you're going big," asked the host. "I just, meaning that I was going to invite you to it," replied Taylor.
"If you're inviting me, it's very big," said Graham. "It's huge," added the singer.
Taylor admitted that she was not stressed about planning the nuptials. She explained that everyone would know when it happened, that it would be a large spectacle, and that she would invite everyone she had ever spoken to.
"I know it's going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and you and people are on the bubble. Right? And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if these should be there. I'm not gonna do that," she shared.
The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler. The singer chose her brother as Man of Honor, and Travis chose his brother Jason as Best Man.
There was a black-tie dress code, with women expected to wear floor-length dresses while men would wear a tuxedo with a jacket, black bow tie and matching satin striped trousers.
Taylor chose a bespoke Christian Dior Haute Couture wedding gown for her big day. The dress was designed by the maison's newly appointed creative director, Jonathan Anderson, making the bride's gown his first couture wedding dress. The singer completed her bridal look with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and elegant Cartier jewellery. Her husband also opted for a custom Dior Haute Couture suit.
As the couple celebrated with family and friends inside Madison Square Garden, the iconic venue paid tribute to the couple outside. The building was illuminated with bright pink "JUST&T MARRIED!" signs before the arena shared a photo on X alongside the caption, "It's a love story," referencing Taylor's 2008 anthem Love Story.
