The 31-year-old actress issued a firm denial through her representative after reports suggested the couple's three-year marriage had become "rocky" and that they were no longer living together. While the statement did not directly confirm whether Margaret and Jack, 42, have separated, it rejected claims that infidelity or a breakdown in trust had caused their reported difficulties. The speculation erupted after Jack attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's July 3 wedding without Margaret, instead bringing his sister Rachel Antonoff as his guest.

Margaret's representative pushed back against the narratives surrounding the pair, insisting the actress had not cheated on her husband. "The narratives running in the press are categorically untrue," the statement read. "There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship. They have deep love and care for one another." It continued: "There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy."

Questions about the couple's relationship intensified when Jack attended Taylor and Travis' star-studded wedding without Margaret. Jack has worked closely with Taylor for more than a decade, co-writing and producing some of her biggest albums, while the singer was among the famous guests at his own wedding to Margaret in 2023. His decision to bring his fashion designer sister Rachel as his plus one therefore caught the attention of fans, particularly as Margaret was not photographed at the celebration.
