Abby Elliott and her husband Bill Kennedy have split after almost 10 years of marriage.
The 39-year-old, who played Natalie on the hit series The Bear, filed for divorce from her producer husband on July 17, 2026, per TMZ.
According to court documents, the actress listed the couple's date of separation as July 8, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind her split from the TV producer, who worked on House of Cards, The Morning Show and Tell Me Lies.
Abby is reportedly seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Edith, five, and William, three.
She has also requested that Bill provide spousal support, though she has asked the court that he not be awarded any, and that he pay her attorney's fees.
The estranged couple met on the set of Bill's 2014 film Sex Ed, and Abby soon fell for the "wonderful, loving, kind, funny, hilarious man."
"I knew I wanted to marry Bill right away," Abby told Entertainment Tonight. "I had a secret Pinterest board with our wedding all planned out."
Bill proposed with his grandmother's ring in October 2015 "in our apartment, and it was beautiful," Abby previously told The Knot. "We've been dating for a year-and-a-half, I think. It was a surprise."
The SNL alum revealed that Bill had called in a friend to decorate their apartment in flowers and candles while the couple was out grabbing a drink at a bar.
"He asked me to go meet him for a drink. So I met him for a drink and the whole time he was checking his phone," she recalled.
"He's like, 'We should go home and eat,'" but despite Abby protesting and telling him, 'There's food here. We can just eat at the bar,'" Bill insisted they head home to "order in."
Arriving home, Abby discovered their apartment had been decorated top to bottom. "It was really beautiful, and he was traditional and got down on one knee. It was just very simple, but lovely and wonderful," she said.
Abby and Bill married in front of 200 guests in a ceremony at her childhood church in New England in September 2016, before celebrating with a reception at her parents' home, People reported at the time.
The bride wore a lace and tulle Leanne Marshall gown with a sheer white veil, while the groom donned a blue linen suit. "I thought I was going to go with a bohemian style, something a bit different. I ended up with something opposite," she told the outlet.
Abby and Bill were last pictured together in March at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards in Los Angeles.
