Roma Downey was known for her fiery red locks on the '90s series Touched by an Angel – but she looks dramatically different today.
The 66-year-old debuted a new look this week, showing off her shortest haircut yet after chopping off her long locks for a chic, French-inspired bob that falls to her chin.
While Roma hasn't had red hair for some years, her new gray-blonde hue is far lighter than her previous blonde looks.
"Yep that's me! I made a brave bold move yesterday and got a summer haircut," she captioned several gorgeous photos of her new look on Instagram.
"Oh la la and I love it!!!" she added. "It's shorter than I've ever had! It's a super cute bob for summer. I think it looks very chic, very French!! hope y'all like it??
"I believe it's good to switch things up now and then don't you think? Keeps things interesting and keeps us young in spirit."
Roma received a flood of compliments from her followers, with many gushing over how much they "love" her new hairstyle.
The Irish actress was blown away by the support and shared her gratitude in another post, writing: "I appreciate all the support for my new haircut! So many of you have left nice messages.
"I know it's very different from my Touched By an Angel look. As many of you may remember I had long red hair for most of the series while playing Monica. And yes a blonde bob is totally different."
She continued: "But life keeps moving, time passing and change is inevitable. It's a hot summer and this cut feels cool and light and fresh and fun.
"I've been reading that healthy intentional hair is replacing high maintenance styles! I don't know yet how high maintenance this will be til I wash and style it myself!
"But I like it! It makes me feel sassy!! And Mr B likes it," she concluded, referring to her husband, television producer Mark Burnett, who created The Apprentice and produced hit shows including Survivor, The Voice, and Shark Tank.
Roma and Mark tied the knot in 2007, making it the third time they both walked down the aisle.
Roma was married to fellow actor Leland Orser from 1987 to 1989, and later to director David Anspaugh, with whom she shares actress daughter Reilly Marie Downey Anspaugh, 30, from 1995 to 1998.
Mark was married to fashion executive Kym Gold from 1988 to 1989, and then to actress and talent agent Dianne Minerva, with whom he shares sons James, 32, a musician, and Cameron, 29, a filmmaker, from 1992 to 2006.
They separated in 2003, and Dianne famously learned he was planning on filing for divorce when he declared himself a single man during an interview on The Howard Stern Show.
Roma and Mark met in 2004 when he was getting a haircut at a salon in Malibu, and they married three years later at their home there.
