Jessica Simpson is throwing it back to her 46th birthday earlier in the month.
The singer and actress took to her Instagram page with an update on how she spent her big day on July 10, apparently including a bit of tan time.
Jessica posted a snap of herself soaking up the sun in a black and white polka dot string bikini, accessorizing with sunglasses and some chains, lying on a purple crocheted beach blanket.
It's safe to say, her followers were definitely taken with the snap. "How is that possible? You just turned 23! Happy birthday!" one gushed, with another adding: "Gaewd damn, love you and that bikini is so cute." A third also wrote: "Had a poster of you on my wall since a kid and nothing's changed you are still an absolute dream! Flawless!"
The past year has been a transformative one for the "I Wanna Love You Forever" hitmaker, who returned to music in March 2025 with her debut EP Nashville Canyon, Part 1, followed by Part 2 in September.
Her new EPs captured the spirit of a transitional phase in her life, following her divorce from former NFL tight end Eric Johnson, capping off their 15-year relationship.
She has since returned not only to the recording booth but also to the stage, dedicating her time to her fashion line and also performances in Las Vegas for a mini-residency and different parts of the country. Her most recent show was in Ohio back in June, and she'll next hit the stage in Mexico City in October.
Jessica recently reflected on the catharsis she's felt returning to the stage and performing songs about finding home and a safe space after a turbulent few years owing to her sobriety and marriage trouble.
"As I go through my life and my heart gets broken inside of my safe places, I have learned to cling to these words that have become somewhat of a daily affirmation 'Home is a feeling, not a place'...," she wrote on Instagram alongside some photos from recent shows.
"Not only do I say these words to myself, I sing these words in the song, Fade, off of Nashville Canyon part 2. I wrote Fade the day that the trajectory of my life changed forever in October of 2023."
She continued: "After all that I have chosen to pull myself through with as much strength, courage, confidence and compassion possible, I am able to free myself from the pain of disappointment every single time I am blessed to be able to take the stage. I am so very grateful for the feeling of home on the stage."
Jessica added: "Over the last 15yrs of not performing, I haven't been able to fully express myself in ways that make the most sense for my life. Each and every single one of you that bless my heart by comin' to MY HOME on the stage have become a major part of my journey through the pain and the joy."
She gushed about finding fulfillment after her troubles on stage and with her fans. "Y'all have resurrected my purpose and have accepted me as I am! There is just no greater achievement than to be able to be seen and experienced as myself. I'm so lucky to vulnerably sing and chat with all of you that come to these shows!"
