All That star Christy Knowings passed away on August 11 following an asthma attack that left her on life support in hospital, according to a family member.
Christy's death was reported by TMZ, who shared that she was rushed to hospital on August 7 following the asthma attack, before her family made the decision to take her off life support on Tuesday.

© Getty ImagesThe actress' aunt, Tyleah Joseph, confirmed her passing in a Facebook post on Wednesday, writing: "My brother Charles' daughter Chrissy (Christy Knowings) has passed… She was an outstanding actress, comedian, twin sister, an amazing daughter….Rest in power, Chrissy."
Her manager shared with Us Weekly that Christy "was a multi-talented lady. Whether it was singing, acting or dancing, she was always creating. Always professional and dedicated to her work."

Never could have imagined this day!! Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you, buddy!!!"
Inside her time on Nickelodeon
Christy starred on the Nickelodeon sketch show from 1997 to 2000, and appeared in more than 30 episodes of the hit series, which launched the careers of Kenan, Kel Mitchell, Amanda Bynes and Nick Cannon. The star opened up about her time on the show to Bustle in 2019, and shared her favourite on-set moment.
"I started to do this character in season six named Gloria Bankhead. She was an over-the-top Martha Stewart. I had never played any character like her!" she recalled. "I just remember being on set and being her all-day long. Everybody loved it! The writers, the stage managers, everybody was just like, 'Hi Gloria!'"
Her co-star, Danny Tamberelli, revealed how important Christy's role on the show was for the kids watching at home.

"Having role models like Kenan, Kel, Nick, and Christy helped a whole lot, too. Funny, kind, outspoken, and relatable kids who made you think, 'Hey, maybe we can do that, too.'"
Before her role on All That, Christy also appeared in Rosie O'Donnell's Nickelodeon sketch comedy And Now This!.

Christy's death comes eight months after her former castmate, Kianna Underwood, was tragically killed in a hit-and-run in New York City. She was pronounced dead at the scene at just 33 years old.
