Dolly Parton was forced to miss another event this week due to her ongoing "health issues."
The 80-year-old pulled out of her appearance at Dollywood on Friday, August 14, at the last minute on orders from her doctor.
Dolly was due to attend the opening of the theme park’s new $60 million roller coaster, NightFlight Expedition, but her health woes forced her to appear virtually instead.
Just as the event was about to kick off, Dolly appeared in a video with large, colorful butterfly wings flapping on her back, and revealed she had been ordered to stay at home.
"I've had my butterfly wings flappin' since May 15 when we were due to open the first time, and again in June," she said in the video shared by the president of Dollywood.
"But I know we had to make sure this is the safest, since it is the biggest and the most expensive ride we have ever added to Dollywood. So we're gonna open it today. That's why I'm here [in Nashville], because my little butterfly wings are getting kinda tired."

"Now I've told you before, all my fans, that I have had a few little health issues, and sometimes I get a little dizzy, and I get dehydrated."
"Now I'm dehydrated. And so, my Nashville doctor kind of clipped my wings saying, 'You ain't traveling this week. So I guess if your doctor tells you you ain't traveling this week, you ain't traveling this week.

Dolly signed off by wishing everyone a "fun day" and teased, "I'll see you down the road!"
Despite growing concerns about her several missed appearances, Dolly surprised fans in June when she turned up at the opening ceremony of Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tenn, to cut the ribbon.

Her appearance came one month after she announced she was canceling her Las Vegas residency.
Dolly opened up about the extent of her health problems in a lengthy video and revealed that she would be canceling her residency to give herself more time to recover and revitalize herself.
"Well hey there, it's Dolly, and I am here to give you an update on a few things going on in my life. First, it's concerning my health, and I have some good news and a little bad news," she started.
© Getty ImagesShe explained that she's currently on "meds and treatments" and is responding quite well to them, but as for the "bad news," she phrased them in more comic terms, comparing herself mostly to a car by saying: "My transmission is slipping, my oil pan is leaking and my muffler's busted; and my shocks and pistons need to be replaced."
As Dolly put it, she was feeling "swimmy-headed," quoting a phrase her grandmother would use to denote that she would get dizzy and easily fatigued with too much exertion.
While also noting that she frequently passed kidney stones, she added: "But seriously, my immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past couple of three years, and they're working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those. And hopefully I'll be up to snuff again soon."
