How did Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields music festival come about?

The singer launched the music festival on August 29 and it took place in Irvine, California.

The lineup included Doechii, Mitski, Stevie Nicks and more, who all performed free-of-charge so that the ticket sales from the 45,000 attendees went directly to non-profit organizations in need.

The performer's inspiration was Sarah McLachlan's Lilith Fair, which featured an all-women music festival that took place in the 1990s.

The star even emphasized the importance of the Lilith Fair in the documentary about it called Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery.

Sarah appeared at Olivia's festival, making it a full-circle moment for the young artist.
