Lara Spencer is enjoying a European summer with her husband, Richard McVey, and it's clear her gym routine has paid off. The couple are currently vacationing in Taormina on the east coast of Sicily for their wedding anniversary.
The morning show host has been absent from Good Morning America for more than a week. Lara took to Instagram on September 1 to share a sweet tribute to her husband on their special day. The ABC star posted a photograph that captured her posing with Richard in front of the crystal-blue ocean.
Lara showed off her toned arms and sculpted abs in a white tank top and a pair of linen shorts. She accessorized with a chunky gold necklace and a pair of black sunglasses. Her blonde locks were left down in soft waves, and her complexion was natural and radiant. Meanwhile, Richard sported a blue T-shirt with a pair of printed orange shorts.
"Happy anniversary baby!!! 9-1-18," Lara penned in the caption.
The couple tied the knot in 2018 and now reside in Greenwich, Connecticut. Richard is the CEO of MarketAxess. Lara, who has been at the helm of Good Morning America since 2011, shares two children, Duff and Katharine, with her ex-husband David Haffenreffer.
Prior to her vacation, Lara bid farewell to her youngest daughter as she headed back to Vanderbilt University.
Lara Spencer's workout routine
Lara's toned physique is courtesy of her disciplined workout routine and approach to fitness. The GMA host opened up to HELLO! back in 2022 about her secret to looking her best. "I have always been an athlete and I think the best way to get a workout is to do a sport," she shared. So rather than hitting the gym for training sessions, Lara opts to do the active things she loves.
"The sport for me right now is tennis," the mom-of-two added. "I love it. Tennis, yoga and stretching really works for me."
Lara likes to follow a balanced diet with nutritious food, but she doesn't allow it to consume her life. "Here and there, if I've been naughty, I'll jump on the elliptical but I really don't go crazy," she revealed. "Life is too short. I make sure that I eat right and I love playing tennis as you can be with friends and be outside. Just do what makes you happy."
