What do we know about his film Company?
The anthology mystery film is presented as a gothic drama of sorts, spanning a single night in 1975. It premiered at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday, although a theatrical release date is currently not known.
An official synopsis reads: "On a winter night in 1975, a mysterious woman named Evelyn arrives uninvited at a holiday gathering and tells the story of Tom, an aging hermit who rescues a stranded actress during a Colorado blizzard in 1953. To pass the night, the actress recounts an older tale of a farming couple who take in a troubled young drifter as a series of grisly murders spreads fear across the frontier."
The film is directed and co-written by Oscar-winner Casey Affleck, and co-stars Adelaide Clemens, Caylee Cowan, Ben Mendelsohn, Scoot McNairy, and more.

Speaking with reporters at the festival, Casey spoke about directing the actor, especially in the many scenes he shared with Caylee, who has been Casey's partner since 2021. "It was extraordinary to watch, I'm sure Caylee will agree, that Nick could go to sort of vulnerable and emotional places very, very quickly, and over and over again if necessary."
"It was the kind of skill, I think, that comes from just a lifetime of doing it and doing it well. I was very happy with the work that everybody did. Everyone brought something different, and when Nick came on set everyone was excited and eager to see what was going to happen, to be able to watch him work and nobody was disappointed because every take – there was not a wasted take and trying to pick which one to use was really the only difficulty."
