Charlie's Angels star Jaclyn Smith sent fans into a frenzy as she celebrated a major milestone amid her book tour, just days after her glowing appearance at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
The 80-year-old took to Instagram to share the good news with her fans, nine days after the release of her highly anticipated memoir, I Once Knew A Guy Named Charlie. In the post, Jaclyn revealed that her book had shot up the charts and became instant New York Times Best Seller, which is one of the highest honors in publishing.

Her fans rushed to the comment section to share the love, with one writing: "So well deserved!" while another added: "Congratulations!" A third chimed in: "Enjoy this time…you worked so hard for it," while another declared: "You're an American treasure."
An emotional process

"Wow, when you go, and you talk about losses, it's difficult," she told People. "I talked about things I never thought I'd talk about, and I have a line, 'Life is never as simple as the public version.' So, I went behind the image – not that I haven't been honest, but I've protected my family."

"I think it's going to be good for my granddaughters who don't know that part of my life, and even my children don't know some of it," she said of the project. "It puts [life] in perspective, and you realize the distance you've come. I thought I'd have a ballet school in Houston, Texas."
"There is a line: 'I didn't want a boring life.' And my life has not been boring at all," she added. "The opportunities I've had – like dinner at the White House – are things I never thought I would do."
Paying tribute to Farrah
Jaclyn was the only cast member on Charlie's Angels to appear in every episode across all five seasons, and she formed a close bond with her co-stars, particularly Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Cheryl Ladd.

"She was loved by millions of people all over the world, and she still is today. They'll never forget her, and neither will we. I'm sure you won't either."
