Nicole is best known for portraying Summer Quinn in Baywatch. But, before the actress ran on the California beaches in a red swimsuit, she appeared in several other hit TV shows before stepping away from the industry.

Nicole Eggert was a child star
At just eight years old, Nicole landed a role in the 1981 film Rich and Famous alongside Jacqueline Bisset and Candice Bergen, as Candice's young daughter. Years later, when the actress was 13, she had a recurring role on Who's the Boss, playing a friend of Alyssa Milano's.
For the rest of the '80s, Nicole kept acting. She starred in Charles in Charge with Scott Baio and was the first guest star to appear on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show in 1989.

Nicole's time on Baywatch
When she was 20, Nicole was featured on seasons three and four of Baywatch as Summer Quinn. As the youngest member of the lifeguard team, Nicole's character was taken under the wing of the other stars.
After two years on the hit drama, Nicole left the show. But, a decade later, she returned for the reunion film Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.

Nicole Eggert's major career change
In 2014, a year after she was injured while taping the celebrity reality diving show Splash, Nicole launched a new career. The actress opened an 'ice cream shop on wheels' called Scoops, which mostly did private parties and events.
"I always kind of dreamed of having something like this for the birthday parties that I planned for my oldest daughter, and there just never was anything out there like that," she told OWN in 2015. "All the ice cream truck guys were creepy."

Nicole has two daughters
Nicole became a mom when she was 26. She has two daughters, Dilyn, 27, and Keegan, 14. While she has been public about sharing Dilyn with her ex-boyfriend Justin Herwick, she has not revealed the identity of Keegan's father.

Inside the Baywatch star's health issues
In December 2023, Nicole was diagnosed with a rare form of stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer. The actress underwent a mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery, is now receiving targeted therapy, and has shared how difficult her cancer treatments were for her children.
"The look on her face when I told her it was cancer . . . it just . . . my world shattered. I knew I couldn't leave that little girl without me," she told People in October 2025 about sharing her diagnosis with her youngest daughter. "So it became very clear in that moment that I had to fight this and win."
