Kylie Jenner shared that her daughter, Stormi Webster, wants to straighten her hair – an idea that she is not particularly keen on.

The 8-year-old has natural corkscrew curls, a style that he mom wishes to preserve as best as possible. During Kylie's latest YouTube video, which captured her baking Halloween cookies with her two children, daughter Stormi and son Aire, she opened up about the decision. The trio looked adorable in matching Hanna Andersson pumpkin pajamas.

"Stormi has been talking about, she really wants to straighten her hair, and I’m kind of not into the idea," Kylie admitted, adding that she’ll only allow the change for Halloween. "And my birthday!" said Stormi, who wore her hair in box braids in the video. "You said!"

Kylie's rule sparked a large reaction from her fans, who flocked to the comments section to praise the beauty mogul's parenting. "I love that you want to protect Stormi’s curls, keep it up xx," one YouTube user penned. "I love that Kylie is trying to raise Stormi to embrace her curls," added another fan. "The way she embraces her daughter's beautiful natural curly hair and encourages her to wear it curly is so beautiful," commented a third user.

However, Kylie had previously allowed her daughter to experiment with wigs. Stormi rocked her mom's peach-toned hairstyle synonymous with her infamous "King Kylie" era. Kylie took to her Instagram Story to share a Polaroid snapshot of Stormi striking a pose in her mom’s vibrant peach wig. In the photo, Stormi’s bold new locks pop against her red-and-white striped top.

Kylie Jenner and motherhood

In an interview with Dazed last year, Kylie opened up about motherhood and revealed her daughter's surprising talent. "She’s a good dancer. She has this voice. I don't know, I have no idea, but I hope that she's an artist," she shared.

"I could go on tour and be her tour manager," Kylie added.

Despite her famous parents, Kylie explained that Stormi enjoys the simple pleasures most children do at her age. "She’ll come home and be like, 'Mom, I learned this TikTok dance at school.' And I'm like, 'How do you know this dance?'," she shared.

The 29-year-old often films dance routines with her daughter, and they "have the best time". However, Kylie consciously chooses not to post them on social media. "She doesn’t know [that] a million people would see if it was posted," Kylie explained, before admitting that she's very protective of her children. "I do have those moments," she continued.

"I think I have [a better] understanding of my parents now. I understand why they made the decisions they did… You don’t see it when you’re a kid, but… your parents are always right!"
