Living as far out as the suburbs of Connecticut has its charms, and also its quirks – just ask Jenna Bush Hager!
The TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle anchor, 44, sat down with her co-host Sheinelle Jones on the October 21 airing of the Fourth Hour to recall an incident that took place in her family home over the weekend.
The NBC host maintains a stunning estate away from the city with her husband Henry Hager, to whom she has been married since 2008, and their three kids, daughters Mila and Poppy, and youngest son Hal.
Over the weekend, however, the family's home was thrown into a bit of "chaos," as she called it, when they were greeted by an unexpected intruder – a chipmunk. Watch the video above as she described how all five banded together to get it out.
The clip left her co-anchor Sheinelle in stitches, as Jenna described her daughter Mila filming the entire incident while constantly pleading: "Don't kill it!" and the former First Daughter screaming to her husband: "Henry, get it! You’re the man!" Even the family's cat Maisie got in on the action.
The moment made its way onto the show's official social media page as well, with fans finding the entire situation deeply hilarious. "'secure the perimeters' you can tell that she heard that before," one quipped.
"I'm a Jenna, run away and let the man take care of it!" another opined, with a third adding: "I have actually had a bat and a mouse come into my home. No chance of my reaction being like Henry when the bat came in. Total Jenna for me. As for the mouse I was more like Jenna on that one too. Wish I was like Henry though."
