Goldie Hawn certainly knows how to make an impression!
The actress, 80, caught the attention of social media personality Liz Benichou earlier this month, who documented the run-in with the star in Santa Monica on her Instagram page.
And it definitely looks like the Oscar-winning star couldn't have been more delightful. "I don't get star struck and I never ask celebrities for photos but when you see Goldie Hawn you don't pass up the opportunity to take a photo with her. She is an ICON," she captioned their photo.
Her followers clearly agreed, responding with comments like: "This is so golden!!!" and: "She is a GEM, I would absolutely fangirl the hell out if I met her," plus: "Wow! She is as gorgeous as ever."
While Goldie is often in California for professional commitments, as well as proximity to her children Oliver and Kate Hudson, Boston and Wyatt Russell, and also maintains a home in New York City, her favorite place to be with longtime partner Kurt Russell is their estate in Colorado.
For decades, the couple have lived in Old Snowmass, near Aspen in Colorado, with different members of their family also living nearby from time to time. In fact, after the wildfires in California in January 2025, Wyatt, his wife Meredith Hagner, and their two young boys, relocated to Colorado instead.
Earlier this year, while in Los Angeles, Kurt, 75, spoke with People about why he prefers to be in Colorado over California, explaining that being there allows him to do the things "that I want to do," continuing: "What I want to look at, what I want to be a part of — all the things that Colorado has to offer. I wanted to eventually get into the ranching life."
"When Goldie and I got together, a couple of years later, we both built a ranch there together, where our family has grown up. That was 40 years ago," he added. The pair's initial decision to move away from Hollywood, though, was met with great skepticism.
"I wasn't escaping. I was just living where I live," the Escape from New York star said. "I was fortunate that it really didn't make any difference. But when I did it, nobody else was doing that. I had many people tell me, 'Well, that's goodbye. That's it.' I said, 'Well, we'll see.'"
Kurt continued: "I don't dislike LA. It's just not my preference in terms of how I like to live my life. You've got to understand something about the area of Old Snowmass. Everybody who lives there, they live there because they want to. I can't say that about LA."
And clearly, so does Goldie. "What I enjoy most is that [Goldie] really likes it in Colorado," he also told Fox News. "Wyatt and Meredith and their two boys, they live in Colorado now. So we like to spend as much time there as we can."
