Julianne Hough put her signature blond bob on a temporary pause.
The Dancing with the Stars host showed off a bold transformation in her recent clip on social media.
The dancer was spotted in her dressing room with voluminous and long locks of blonde hair, which was the main component to her Halloween costume.
She proudly embodied Shakira for the TV show's Horror Move Night-themed episode on October 27.
In the video, Julianne used Aviva Drescher's soundbite from The Real Housewives of New York City, as she joked: "The only thing that is artificial or fake about me," before she aggressively took off her wig. While holding her wig up, she concluded: "Is this."
She captioned her video: "Plot twist: It's a wig #dwts." Fans loved the hilarious clip and flocked to the comments to cheer her on.
One person wrote: "I mean … the Emmy goes to ….. @juleshough." A second fan added: "Thought it was Shakira for the first couple of seconds haha."
A third follower joked: "Hair today, gone tomorrow." Another fan wrote: "SAY IT ISN'T SO!! MY LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE...."
Julianne's wild new look may have gotten the attention of fans, however, the star is planning on committing to an even bolder hair transformation in the future.
She revealed on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast: "I have this thing on my list of things I want to do: I want to go to Bhutan and shave my head with a monk."
The star continued: "It was just to shave my head, but now there's two added layers – Bhutan and a monk."
Julianne is serious about her bucket list goal and even collaborated with her hairstylist on making it work seemlessly for her job.
She explained: "I literally called my hairstylist Riawna [Capri] and I was like, 'I think we need to make a wig that is my exact haircut right now.' I was like, 'We need to replicate this as a wig so that I can just [shave it] and then know that I’m good for work.'"
The TV host admitted: "It's weird. I've been wanting to do this my whole life."
Julianne expressed that her hair deeply represents the eras that she's in, explaining, that it's an "outward expression of whatever I go through internally."
That's exactly why she feels pulled to make a big change with her hair and life simultaneously, adding: "[I've] been through a very big excavation process recently and I'm like, 'Take it off!'"
The idea didn't arrive overnight, instead it comes as a symbolic finish line for the star.
She shared: "The last seven years, all the things I put into place — the systems of protection of who you think you should be — all of them have gone away. So I'm like, 'Oh last thing, I just need to shave my head now.'"
