Pink had an incredible response to negative comments about a makeup-free photo of herself that went viral.

The "So What?" singer was recently photographed in NYC wearing casual clothes, including a baggy purple sweater and matching sweatpants, a headscarf, and carrying one of her dogs in a sling across her chest.

The photo soon picked up on social media, with many people claiming they didn't recognize the pop star "without the heavy Instagram filters she uses."

Not one to let negativity bring her down, Pink addressed the now-viral photo on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, tagging it "Best photo award."

She added: "What is everyone talking about? I look HOT, and you can tell that's what I was going for, too. I woke up and said 'I am going to be serving LOOKS today.' And I did that," alongside a string of laughing emojis.

In a separate post, she shared a close-up selfie of herself in a tank top and thick-rimmed glasses, writing: "I look even better today."

Pink has been outspoken in the past about not changing herself to fit other people's definitions of beauty.

At the 2017 MTV VMAs, she gave a powerful speech while accepting the Video Vanguard Award after her then six-year-old daughter Willow told her, "Mama, I'm the ugliest girl I know."

Recalling her conversation with Willow, Pink said: "When people make fun of me, that's what they use. They say that I look like a boy, or I am too masculine, too many opinions, my body is too strong.

"And I said to her, 'Do you see me growing my hair?' She said, 'No, mama.' I said, 'Do you see me changing my body?' 'No, mama.' 'Do you see me changing the way I present myself to the world?' 'No, mama.' 'Do you see me selling out arenas all over the world?' 'Yes, Mama.'"

Pink added at the time: "That's right. So, baby, girl, we don't change, we take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl. We help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty."

Cross-country move

Earlier this year, Pink and her family relocated from Los Angeles to New York City so Willow "could study theater and experience more Broadway," a venture she has already begun pursuing.

Pink first announced the cross-country move when she guest-hosted an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, which Willow tagged along for, kicking off the episode by singing together "This Hopeless War" from the 2024 Broadway production of The Outsiders. She then shared that she moved to New York City because she is "an amazing mom."

Pink has since purchased a Greenwich Village townhouse for $21.5 million, the Wall Street Journal reported in April. The 8,000-square-foot residence is a five-bedroom Greek Revival-style house that dates back to 1849 and was sold by the artistic Forseca family, who had owned it since the 1950s.
