Britney Spears' relationship with her family appears to still be hot and cold.
The "...Baby One More Time" singer, 44, has been vocal about her strained relationship with her family, particularly younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, though has previously appeared to have reconciled with them.
She recently reunited with her two sons, Sean, 21, and Jayden, 20, who she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
However, in a new Instagram post over the weekend, Britney declared she is determined to find a "new family" after seemingly getting shunned by her own.
Sharing a photo of a young Dakota Fanning in 2003's Uptown Girls in which she is giving the middle finger, Britney declared: "I will find a new family!!!"
She then claimed: "Jamie Lynn never let me hold Ivy one time when I would visit in Louisiana during covid in two week trips," referring to the Sweet Magnolias alum's daughter Ivey, eight, who she shares with husband Jamie Watson.
"Kevin wouldn't let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house!!!" she then added.
"They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad !!! I will find a new family!!!" Britney emphasized.
Comments on the post, as on every other of Britney's posts, were turned off. Though Britney has largely shied away from the public eye in recent years, she is a very frequent social media poster, often sharing videos of her dancing or cryptic messages.
Earlier in October, she shared a photo with at least one of her two sons at the late Dolly Partons amusement park Dollywood, and wrote: "Wow wow!!! I didn't know this place existed, so incredibly cool and exciting… but extremely hot and my skirt is too big for me… family outings!!! DOLLYWOOD IS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!"
Later in the month she shared another photo of her reunion with Sean and wrote: "A day I honestly will never forget or honestly understand because it had been 5 years !!! I was in shock I think !!! This day was beyond to me so had to repost !!! Pss my babies !!!"
Britney was placed under a controversial conservatorship by her father, Jamie Spears, in 2008, which a judge terminated in 2021 following Britney’s public testimony and public pressure in support of her.
