Jennifer Lopez has never been one to shy away from a daring photoshoot – and her latest pictures may be her sultriest yet.
The hitmaker took to Instagram to share a series of polaroid snaps that captured her embodying Jane Fonda's iconic character Barbarella. While Jennifer took some photos of her dressed in a ripped mesh catsuit with blood splatters and chainmail accent pieces, she was sure to get a few tasteful nude shots.
One striking shot captures the star crouching with her back to the camera, her sculpted silhouette on full display. Clad only in nude, low-slung lingerie briefs with her arms folded across her chest, Jennifer gazed directly into the lens. Her blonde locks were styled into a voluminous bombshell blowout while her makeup oozed soft glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a nude lip.
"Barbarella BTS @sampson_clark," she penned in the caption. Barbarella was directed by Roger Vadim and released in 1968. The movie cemented Jane Fonda's status as the ultimate 60s sex symbol.
Jennifer is synonymous with the daring Noughties Bumster silhouette. The look essentially involves low rise pants that sit just below the hips to expose the upper part of the buttocks. Ensembles that spotlight a Bumster typically feature a figure-hugging silhouette designed to highlight and accentuate the body's curves.
The singer rocked the divisive look to the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas. Jennifer wore a midnight blue jumpsuit that was adorned with sequin embellishments. The backless garment featured a cut-out detail at the waist and a Bumster silhouette that showcased the star’s toned physique.
Jennifer Lopez's workout routine
The singer's sculpted figure is courtesy of her disciplined fitness regime and healthy lifestyle. "It's no secret that fitness is a very important part of my life," she told Us Weekly. "I think there's a positive correlation between exercise and mental health. When you find a good balance through determination and focus, we're naturally pushing to be the best version of ourselves."
"Very rarely will I skip my workout," she added. "Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I'm like, 'Ugh, I can't do this.' But I tell myself, 'Just do it. It's only an hour.' It's just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum."
The star also prioritizes her wellness routine. "The number one tip is to always get enough sleep," she told InStyle US. "I can’t stress this enough. Ideally I would love to get nine or 10 hours of sleep, but either way, I always make sure I get at least eight."
