If you'd like to drink more water to enable your body to function at its best, but resent spending pounds every day on bottled brands, you can make tap water taste better by letting it sit for 20 minutes before drinking which allows the chlorine – a gas – to dissipate. Stick it in the fridge or add ice cubes for a fresher taste and you'll hardly tell the difference between what's free (apart from your water rates, of course) and what's fashionably expensive.
