Paris Hilton has admitted she's had a falling out with her Simple Life sidekick Nicole Richie, confirming: "It's no big secret that we're no longer friends". In fact, the hotel heiress is set to replace R&B star Lionel Richie's daughter for the fourth series of the reality TV hit, filling the vacant post with another pop star's wild child.
And to hear Paris tell it, Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly Stewart not only already has the job, the platinum blonde was actually her first choice. "When the first installment happened, I wanted Kim," Paris explained. "And she was like, 'I'm not doing a reality show.'"
Network bosses, however, won't confirm the replacement, saying only that they are "currently discussing internally the creative direction" of the third series of the programme.
Rod's eldest-born child by first wife Alana Hamilton – Alana was also once married to actor George Hamilton – Kimberly has been increasing her profile in the past year, taking to the catwalk at LA and New York fashion week and getting her photo snapped at Hollywood bashes.
The leggy 25-year-old, engaged to musician Cisco Adler, has long been hitting show biz affairs arm-in-arm with best friend Paris. "We've known each other since we were in our moms' tummies," Paris told the E! channel. "When you're with your friend you've known your whole life, you totally trust them. We just act like sisters... we have fun." |
