Jack Malvern has been a journalist since 1999 including stints as The Times's arts correspondent, senior news reporter and editor of the Times Diary (when he was known as "Celebrity Jack", an unwelcome but persistent pseudonym foisted upon him by his predecessor Giles Coren).He has reported on location with the royal family, written frantically from behind the scenes at the Baftas, drunk champagne on Rick Parfitt's balcony in Fiji, been insulted by Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and David Bailey, competed against Pamela Anderson in a backgammon tournament in Cannes and came sixth in the World Air Guitar Championships while taking part for a feature.
