Coronation Street star Samia is set to tie the knot with fiancé Sylvain Longchambon this summer. She opened up about planning the big day during a recent appearance on Loose Women. "We've got the venue and I went to a wedding fair at Tatton Park the other weekend, so I've got some ideas," she said.

"We do have a wedding planner caller Julie Perry; she's so relaxed. She isn't stressed so we don't feel stressed. We're getting excited but we want the day to reflect us as a couple…. I'm going for my dress fitting today, it's my first fitting, so I'm dead excited!".

Samia and Sylvain have been engaged since March 2015, and welcomed their first child together, son Yves Joseph, in September last year. The nine-month-old is a baby boy to Samia's six-year-old daughter Freya from her first marriage to property developer Matthew Smith.

The couple famously met when they were paired together in the 2013 series of Dancing on Ice. Their relationship began shortly after the actress split from property developer Will Thorp and Sylvain broke up with Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe.

Speaking to the Mirror at the time, Samia said: "I can see how you'd end up in a relationship with your partner. You get to know each other intensely and there's a lot of trust."

When asked by presenter Christine Bleakley during the final in 2013 if she was allowed to say love was in the air, Samia said: "Yeah, we're allowed to say that".
