Earl Spencer married his girlfriend, Cat Jarman, on Friday, and the bride looked beautiful in an unconventional gown. Norwegian archaeologist Cat, 44, was seen in photos captured by Caitlyn Jennings wearing a blue Grecian-style dress.

The ankle-length gown featured a low V-shaped neckline and open back, as well as a billowing skirt, and it came in an unexpected powder blue hue. The bride also wore gold platform heels and a gold pendant necklace. Meanwhile, her sandy blonde hair was styled in a braided updo, and her bouquet featured accents of blue to match her look.

The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Arizona. They have been dating for two years after Princess Diana's brother was asked to review Cat's 2021 book, River Kings.  Since then, Charles and Cat have launched a podcast, 'The Rabbit Hole Detectives', and embarked on archaeological digs together.

Much of their time as a married couple was spent in South Africa, and they welcomed four children together - Lady Kitty, 35, twins Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia, 33, and Viscount Louis, 32.

Following their split, Charles went on to marry Caroline Freud. The pair met while studying at Oxford and rekindled their romance after Caroline split from her first husband, PR exec Matthew Freud. During their time together, Charles and Caroline welcomed the Honourable Edmund Charles Spencer, who was born in October 2003 and goes by 'Ned', and Lady Lara Caroline Spencer, 20.

Earl Spencer's third wife was Countess Karen Spencer, a 53-year-old Canadian social entrepreneur. The pair welcomed a daughter, Charlotte, in July 2012 and attended several high-profile royal events together, including the weddings of Prince William to Princess Kate and Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.

Charles and Countess Spencer's split was made public in 2024, but their divorce wasn't finalised until 2025. Announcing the split to the Mail on Sunday, the Earl said in a statement: "It is immensely sad. I just want to devote myself to all my children, and to my grandchildren, and I wish Karen every happiness in the future."

Cat was previously married to ex-husband Tom Jarman and they share two sons.
