Victoria and David Beckham reminisced about their iconic wedding day as they marked their 27th anniversary on 5 July.

The nineties power couple got married at the height of their fame at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland, with fans poring over all the details, from their regal thrones to their Robin Hood-themed cake.

One of the most memorable aspects of their nuptials was the fashion, with Victoria opting for an architectural champagne-coloured ballgown from Vera Wang, followed by a purple one-shouldered dress by Antonio Berardi. But there was another post-wedding dress that had never been seen until now.

Bridal wardrobe

To celebrate almost three decades of marriage, David flooded his social media with loving tributes to his wife, including one that he said was taken on the "first day after our wedding day."

Sitting at a romantic outdoor table, the Spice Girls star and the former footballer were captured enjoying a candlelit dinner as husband and wife. While David sported his signature bleach-blonde hair and a simple black top, Victoria elegantly continued the bridal theme in a white, round-neck dress with delicate spaghetti straps.

Sporting a rare smile, Victoria wore her pixie cut straight with two 90s hair clips pulling the front sections out of her eyes.

Although Victoria's full look isn't visible in her seated position, this is the first glimpse fans have had of the fashion designer's secret post-wedding wardrobe.

Private honeymoon

The photo appears to have been taken on day one of their French honeymoon. They had planned a 10-day escape in the South of France with their eldest son, Brooklyn, but David confessed in his Netflix docuseries BECKHAM that their honeymoon was spent hunkering down at composer Andrew Lloyd Webber’s estate, away from the paparazzi.

"We ended up at Andrew Lloyd Webber's house in the South of France – I have no idea how we ended up there!" he said.

Their trip was cut short, as just five days into their honeymoon, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson requested that David return to England for pre-season training. Since the other members of the senior squad were still away, Victoria later described the decision to interrupt their honeymoon as "vindictive."

The couple went on to welcome a further three children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. While their relationship with their eldest son Brooklyn has been strained in recent years, Victoria and David previously confessed that their marriage and family were their top priority.

Marriage confession

In an interview with HELLO!, David said: "We always make time for each other. Our boys are our main priority, but we have a date night every Wednesday."

Agreeing, Victoria added: "We're soul mates. We're so lucky to have each other. We love each other. You go into a marriage knowing there are going to be ups and downs. We're in the public eye so we have more to deal with than most. We accepted that years ago. It's just about us and the family."
