Clue about Taylor Swift's wedding dress accidentally revealed by guest

Three days on from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's gigantic Madison Square Garden wedding, details are dropping almost hourly on the celebration.

Ahead of the wedding, guests were required to sign an NDA, so precious few details were known, but since Friday, we've learned more and more, from the wedding favours (handkerchiefs embroidered with Taylor Swift lyrics) to who led the ceremony (Adam Sandler, of all people…)

One thing we still know next to nothing about? Taylor's wedding dress. Other than the fact that it was reportedly designed by Christian Dior, we're in the dark about the musician's gown.

However, one wedding guest may have accidentally let slip details about the gown.

Clues about Taylor's wedding dress

As any Swiftie knows by now, when Taylor did the traditional bouquet toss, it was caught by Ashley Smith, the girlfriend of Travis' teammate, Trey Smith.

Ashley took to social media to share a gleeful photo of herself clutching the bouquet – which appeared to contain pink sweet peas alongside Daucus, according to garden designer Katherine Holland, whom we turned to in order to identify the blooms.

According to flower symbolism, Daucus represents sanctuary, safety, and refuge, while sweet peas convey blissful pleasure, gratitude, and lasting friendship - all rather appropriate for a wedding!

But how does this hint at Taylor's wedding dress? Wedding expert Zoe Burke of wedding planning platform Bridebook explains: "Wedding flowers are often chosen quite late in the wedding planning journey, when all other factors are decided, which means they are heavily influenced by the rest of your wedding details – including your dress.

"We know that everything Taylor does is rich with symbolism and carries significance, so it’s only right that her bouquet would do the same."

Indeed, picture other celebrity weddings; Taylor's bestie, Selena Gomez, for example. She carried a petite bouquet of Lily of the Valley, which perfectly mirrored her elegant, lace wedding dress.

Kate Moss, on the other hand, carried a hand-tied country-inspired bouquet when she married Jamie Hince, which perfectly matched her bohemian ceremony in the Cotswolds.

With this in mind, the frothy, feminine flowers from Taylor's bouquet hint that the musician perhaps wore a more floaty, boho gown than a statement, OTT wedding dress. If you speak in Eras, we'd say the gown leaned into the Fearless vibe, rather than the all-out Princess gowns she wore during the Speak Now set on her Eras Tour.

Another clue from the bouquet

Ashley's post also hinted at something else about Taylor and Travis' wedding, according to Zoe, who points out that the flower arrangement is rather small for a wedding that size. "It's very small and understated. I am wondering if it's been shared out or if she had a smaller bouquet just for throwing," Zoe muses.

Many of the comments on Ashley's photo agreed with Zoe that the flowers had seen better days, with others explaining that it's becoming a trend to have a bouquet purely for throwing, so the bride can preserve or press her own, while still indulging in wedding traditions such as throwing the bouquet.

With Taylor still yet to share any photos of her wedding dress (many are speculating all will be revealed via a Disney+ documentary), we'll have to keep deciphering clues from wedding guests…
