Melanie Chisholm, 52, shot to fame as part of girl band the Spice Girls in the 90s, and she made sure to pay tribute to her roots as Sporty Spice on her wedding day.
The 'Wannabe' hitmaker married her long-time boyfriend, Chris Dingwall, at The Country House in Cumbria on 18 July. The majority of the bandmates reunited for the big day, with the exception of Victoria Beckham, who was in the United States watching England take on France in the World Cup final with her footballer husband David Beckham.
For her first bridal look, Melanie C kept Victoria, who was known as Posh Spice, close to her heart with a white slip dress from her fashion label. But it was her second wedding outfit that captured the attention of Spice Girls fans.
Dancing at her wedding reception, Melanie looked carefree and happy in a custom Adidas ivory silk tracksuit featuring wide-leg, high-waisted trousers and a matching cropped jacket with a peaked lapel and deep ribbed waistband.
A micro white top layered underneath the set showed off her athletic physique, and custom Superstar trainers offered maximum comfort for dancing.
While a tracksuit is an unconventional look for a wedding, it transported fans back to the 90s athleisure trend, when Mel C would regularly hit the stage in classic red or blue Adidas two-piece alongside her trademark high ponytail.
Her long brunette hair had been styled by Carl Bembridge in soft waves that fell to her waist, adding a feminine edge to her relaxed ensemble, while her beauty look by Bekki Mitchell was understated.
Bridal looks
In an interview with British Vogue, Melanie C confirmed Victoria lent her a cami dress for her ceremony in Chris' native Australia as her "something borrowed".
For Melanie's celebration in the UK, she wore a custom Adidas robe with the brand's iconic white silk stripes to get ready for her big day, finished with custom white and gold sliders featuring the wedding date in gold.
Victoria "offered to make her dream dress" for the ceremony, but they settled on upgrading the original Lace Cami.
"Victoria wanted to make it much more personal to me. She found some gorgeous vintage lace, and everything was really delicately dyed to the perfect shade. It’s very flattering, open at the back," she said, adding that she wanted to stay true to Melanie's "minimalist" style.
From dating apps to wedding day
Despite Melanie admitting four years ago that she "never wanted to meet anyone again" after splitting with her ex Joe Marshall, her outlook changed when she met model, actor and screenwriter Chris on celebrity dating app Raya.
They had their first date when she travelled there for a DJ gig, and their romance continued to blossom until Chris surprised the singer by proposing in Mallorca in 2025.
Following their intimate three-day wedding, which included a pre-wedding pub celebration, a ceremony and a BBQ, she's reportedly considering relocating with her new husband.
"Not that this was mentioned at the wedding, but Mel has been spending more and more time in Australia," an insider told HELLO!. "She loves it there, so there's speculation she might spend more and more time there or relocate now she's married to an Aussie."
