Annabel Croft was brimming with happiness at the weekend, watching her beloved daughter, Lily Coleman, marry Felix McCorquodale in Battersea, London.

The TV veteran's daughter, who is also a presenter, married her long-term love at St Mary's Church in Battersea. Her nearest and dearest were there to watch her say "I do" to Felix, an insurance executive who is related to the late Princess Diana. Felix is related to the late Raine Spencer, who became Princess Diana's stepmother when she married the royal's father, John Spencer, in 1976.

Lily, 28, looked beautiful in two wedding dresses. Her first, which she wore to say her vows, was crafted in a sumptuous ivory shade, featuring a striking draped neckline. The modern yet elegant attire had sheer sleeves and a billowing, ethereal train, and she accessorised with simple white heels and wore her blonde hair in an enchanting half-up, half-down style, secured with a gold and pearl clip.

Later, when she arrived at her wedding venue with her husband, having driven there in a vintage black Morris Minor convertible, the content creator changed into a slightly more relaxed, playful dress which was shorter than her first and featured marabou-fringed detail at the hem.

She added a glamorous bolero and towering metallic pink platforms, and she was pictured on the dancefloor at Wild at Heart, a stunning establishment in Belgravia.

Why do brides often have two wedding dresses?

Many brides choose to abandon the traditional rule of donning just one wedding dress for the big day, opting to change into something a little lighter for the wedding breakfast. Often picked for comfort, a second dress is sometimes easier to dance in.

According to Rock 'n' Roll Bride, social media has a part to play in the second dress option.

"Brides want more opportunities for stunning outfit changes, Instagram-worthy moments, and a chance to showcase different styles throughout the day," the publication specifies. "A long, flowing gown can create drama for the ceremony, while a shorter dress adds energy and playfulness for the party."
