Mel C celebrated her wedding to Chris Dingwall on Saturday during an intimate ceremony that included several celebrity guests.

The Spice Girl said "I do" to her long-term boyfriend at The Country House in Cumbria, surrounded by friends, family and her former bandmates.

But marriage isn't the only milestone Mel is set to reach this year. According to insiders, the hitmaker is considering a new life Down Under. This is likely because Mel's new husband, who is a model, actor and screenwriter, hails from Australia himself.

"Not that this was mentioned at the wedding, but Mel has been spending more and more time in Australia," an insider told HELLO!.

Marriage isn't the only milestone Mel is set to reach this year

"She loves it there, so there's speculation she might spend more and more time there or relocate now she's married to an Aussie."

The happy union likely comes as a great relief to Mel's loved ones, with the singer having said only four years ago that she "never wanted to meet anyone again" after splitting with her ex.

Now embracing bright days, the 52-year-old enjoyed a loved-up nuptial filled with heartfelt speeches and music."It was the most lovely, low-key and intimate three-day event. There was a pub celebration the night before, then there was the ceremony and the next day a BBQ."

"On the day itself there were some lovely speeches. Mel C didn't actually do a speech, contrary to reports that she did. But she did hit the decks later on at the party. All the Spice Girls sat together, and Victoria sent a lovely message and a huge bouquet of white flowers," the insider explained.

Luckily, Mel's new man is well loved by those around her. "He's so kind and attentive to Mel, he never leaves her side. "He even fits in with the other Spice Girls' husbands too.

"All the girls are so happy for Mel, as Mel is definitely the one in the group who holds the group together; she is always the one making sure everyone is okay and checking in on them all. It's been great to see Mel step out of the shadows in recent years; Chris has really given her confidence."

Victoria's secret gift

Although her good friend Victoria Beckham wasn't able to attend, she did make a special offering for the big day. Before celebrating the big day in Cumbria, Mel and Chris had a legal ceremony in Australia, where the singer borrowed one of Victoria's dresses.

Prior to the nuptials, Mel had ordered a lace cami dress from her friend's clothing brand but mistakenly ordered the wrong size. Much to her relief, when Victoria discovered the unfortunate fashion dilemma, she offered to lend Mel her own. "Victoria's dress was my something borrowed," Mel told Vogue. "It was very special, having her there."
