Troubled TV star Danniella Westbrook is all set to relaunch her TV career with a guest appearance on a new series of Crossroads.

Having famously lost the septum of her nose and her role as Sam Mitchell in BBC’s EastEnders to her £400-a-day habit, Danniella seems to have got her life back together in recent months and is keen to return to acting. “It’s time I was back at work again,” she says, adding: “I’m really looking forward to it.”

In the revamped Crossroads, which returns to British TV screen in January after a four-month break, she will play a blonde bombshell gold-digger staying at the hotel.“I’m thrilled to get Danniella,” says the programme’s boss Yvon Grace. “The new Crossroads is going to be glamorous, sexy and full of gorgeous men and women behaving badly – just like Dallas or Dynasty. We’ll be focusing as much on who is staying in the hotel as who is running it.”

Following a stint at a rehabilitation clinic in Arizona, the actress declared she had got her habit licked and went on to marry millionaire boyfriend Kevin Jenkins, a courier firm boss. The couple now lives in Kent with their three-month-old baby, Jody, Danniella’s five-year-old son Kai and Kevin’s daughter Jordan, six, from a previous relationship.
