Whilst Prince George was celebrating turning one during a VIP party at Kensington Palace, Selena Gomez – whose birthday also falls on 22 July – was marking her own special day in Saint-Tropez, France.The singer was pictured in the Côte d'Azur accompanied by her close friends including model Cara Delevingne.

Noticeably absent was singer Taylor Swift, who is part of Selena and Cara Delevingne's inner circle. Though she couldn't be part of the birthday fun, the singer made sure to draw attention to her friend's big day on Twitter. "Usually this S represents 'Swift' but today I'm wearing it because SELENA IS 22!!!!," she posted alongside a snap of her showing off her 'S' necklace.
After their day of fun in the sun, the group changed into glamorous clothes and headed out to continue celebrating. Birthday girl Selena looked stunning in a Versace baroque print shirt and sky-high heels while Cara donned a black crop top with high-waisted black trousers, teamed with peep-toe ankle boots.
As the festivities wrapped up, Selena thanked everyone for their well-wishes and declared it her "BEST birthday yet"."Thank you SO much for my birthday wishes ☺️ -this has been the BEST birthday yet! THANK YOU!!!! ???????," she tweeted.
