It's coming up to four years since Lea Michele lost her boyfriend Cory Monteith. But taking to her social media sites on Monday, the actress reminded her fans that she still cherishes fond memories of her late partner.

The 30-year-old actress, who is famed for starring alongside Cory in musical drama Glee, shared a rare candid selfie showing her cuddling up close to the late actor. The uncaptioned photo featured a Polaroid-style border with the words "Bleeker St." and "2012" emblazoned across the frame.

Fans were quick to pay tribute to Cory, who died at the age of 31 from a drugs overdose, with one follower writing: "I don't know how you did it @leamichele but we're all here for you no matter what." Another fan shared: "I miss him too sooo very much."

Cory passed away in July 2013. The former lovebirds, who first met while working on comedy Glee in 2009, began dating in November 2011, and were still together when he tragically died.

Last year, on the third anniversary of Cory's death, Lea took to her Instagram page to share a beautiful, heartfelt tribute. She wrote: "We may not have gotten to share a lifetime together… but the memories… they're the best of my life… Love you Cory." She also took to Twitter to remember the actor: "I know you're watching over me, and smiling. Love and miss you Cory, everyday, but today a little more."

Lea Michele was in a relationship with Cory Monteith when he passed away in 2013

A while after his death, the Scream Queens star got a tiny number '5' tattooed on the side of her ribcage in honour of Cory's Glee character Finn, whose football jersey number was five.

Lea is currently single after calling time on her short-lived romance with Dimension 404 co-star Robert Buckley. Their relationship began shortly after her split from dancer Matthew Paetz, who she dated for two years.
