Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she has had Lyme disease for the last ten years, but kept her illness a secret until now. Chatting to Dr Oz on The Dr Oz Show about her experience with the disease, she revealed why she kept it a secret for so long. "Because of my past, it made me look like the boy who cried wolf and my parents and my family and my friends always call it my traveling pain," she explained. "And then one day I had a seizure while I was filming Fashion Police. And I had a three-and-a-half minute grand mal seizure. Through all the testing that they did in the hospital, they found that I had scarring on my brain, so they assumed that I had been having more seizures and not knowing."

Kelly opened up about Lyme disease

She admitted that she hid her disease for so long as she was worried that people would assume it was due to drug usage, adding: "Because people would--thought my behaviour was – they blamed it on my past, like, drug usage. Like, they thought that, oh, she's just doing drugs again, oh, she's relapsed or she's doing this or that. And nobody believed me. So I was a bit nervous. And until I was informed enough about it and then seeing so many people suffer from it and knowing - meeting other people that also had it, you really start to realise how huge of a problem this is. And there's not enough information out there about it for people and there's so many people suffering from it."
