Newly single Reese Witherpoon and Tom Brady have denied suggestions they are Hollywood’s hot new couple.
Rumors connecting the Oscar winner Reese and the NFL quarterback Tom have set the internet alight. But the pair, who are both in the midst of public divorces, have poured cold water on the flames.
Putting out blanket denials to multiple outlets via their reps, Big Little Lies star Reese, 47, and Retired NFL future Hall-of-Famer Tom insisted they have never even met.
The rumors began when an anonymous tipster named legallyblonde@patriotsbuccaneers.com posted on Instagram account Deuxmoi last month with the headline ‘Epic and unexpected celeb couple’.
It stated: "A-list actress who JUST announced her divorce is newly dating A-list NFL athlete who is also recently divorced" – and everyone got a bit excited at what would be the cutest coupling.
Alas, Reese and Tom claim otherwise.
Reese’s representative told Us Weekly: "The rumors are completely false," and Tom’s spokesperson said the same to Page Six, Us and People.
Mom-of-three Reese and 52-year-old husband Jim Toth – who share 10-year-old son Tennessee Toth – announced their break up on 24 March after 11 years of marriage, saying they are moving forward with "deep love, kindness and mutual respect".
Reese proved she's not given up on love yet, choosing a romantic comedy novel for her April choice. She posted: "Our April 2023 #ReesesBookClub Pick is Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld and it is such a hilarious, sweet, smart read that I think you're going to love!!"
The Legally Blonde actress, who is worth around $116 million and has daughter Ava, 23, and son Deacon, 19, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, had a pre-nuptial agreement in place with CAA agent Jim. She recently confirmed she will submit the document which provides "adequate and sufficient provisions" for their assets and debts, to the judge.

Tom, who was pictured on vacation over the weekend with his children, posted on his Instagram: "We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.
"We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve."

Gisele, 42, recently revealed their son Benjamin, has been the victim of bullying in Boston for not wanting to follow in his father Tom Brady's footsteps on the football field.
The couple, who met in the mid-2000s and began dating in 2007, got engaged in January 2009 and married just one month later but after over a decade together, rumors of marriage problems surfaced.
Following Tom's decision to un-retire from football for one last season with the Buccaneers, the couple finalized their divorce in 2022.
