It was a case of here come the brides at Spice Girls star Mel C's Saturday wedding. Not literally, of course, as there is no reason to suspect Sporty's long-time partner, Chris Dingwall, of polygyny – but her ex-Spice Girl bandmate Geri Haliwell-Horner did turn up wearing white which traditionally is the preserve of the bride herself.
While Geri's penchant for white is well known, in subsequent online discourse many have suggested Ginger Spice should have respected the tradition and for once plumped for a different ensemble – maybe not the Union Jack dress she so memorably etched into UK popular culture folklore back in the 90s, but perhaps an outfit with just a splash more colour. Others have called the matter a fuss over nothing, noting that Geri's dress didn't even look particularly bridal. I'll be honest, on this one I don't feel particularly strongly either way and, unlike Victoria Beckham who was at a business event in New York, at least Geri actually came to the wedding.
