Andy Murray and his wife Kim are opening the doors to their luxury Scottish hotel, Cromlix, in a new three-part documentary series. Having spent more than a decade transforming the property into one of Scotland's most celebrated hotels, the couple are now embarking on their most ambitious project yet.

Filmed over almost a year, the pair are taking part in a brand new Channel 4 series - Our Scottish Hotel, which offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at Andy and Kim working alongside their 80-strong team as they oversee the hotel's latest transformation.

The series follows their business journey since buying Cromlix, with plans to build a major new wing featuring two restaurants. But with the hotel remaining open during the initial construction work, Andy and Kim face the challenge of keeping guests happy while managing the disruption.

And when the hotel closes for five months to allow for the most transformational work to get underway, Kim and Andy return to discover whether a year of risk, upheaval and relentless work has delivered the hotel they imagined.

Speaking about the series, Kim said: "The last couple of years have been really full of change at Cromlix with a huge building project and a totally new direction for fine dining and wellness, and I was really keen to document that as there were so many personal stories and interesting discoveries along the way."

Kim admitted it had been a learning curve for them both as she reflected on the experience of working alongside her husband for the first time.

"Andy and I haven't worked on anything together before, so that was a fascinating process - and a learning curve!" she added. "I've loved shaping this building and estate into what’s now become a really thriving and much-loved Scottish business. I hope people enjoy watching the show and meeting the team behind the hotel."

The documentary also introduces viewers to the 80-strong team behind Cromlix, offering an insight into the work involved in running a luxury hotel. The couple, who share four children, purchased Cromlix House Hotel in Scotland in 2013 for £1.8 million.

About the project, Emily Shields, Commissioning Editor for Channel 4, added: "Cromlix is a fascinating world to step inside, and this series offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of a business where no detail is overlooked.

"Kim and Andy are embarking on an ambitious transformation, but at its heart this is a story about people: the team whose hard work brings Cromlix to life, and the shared desire to create something truly special. We’re delighted to be bringing viewers this warm, intimate and revealing look at life behind the doors of one of Scotland’s most distinctive hotels."
