Garden Rescue star Charlie Dimmock has revealed an exciting new venture in the new year.
The renowned gardener, 60, is joining her Garden Rescue co-hosts on their very first live tour across the nation in 2027. The new live stage show, called Garden Rescue Live, will give audiences gardening advice and a behind-the-scenes experience of the hit BBC series.
Charlie will be joined by Chris Hull, Flo Headlam and Lee Burkhill for nine shows in the UK from 30 March to 11 April. The group will make stops in Ipswitch, Hull, Bath, Edinburgh and more, with tickets kicking off with a presale on Wednesday 28 October.
"What I’m most looking forward to about doing the Garden Rescue Live tour is meeting the people because it’s always so much fun you get to tell stories and have fun, lots of laughs, but also inspiring people, getting them to get enthusiastic about being out in the garden," Charlie said of the forthcoming stage show.
"We’re doing the tour in spring, which is a great time because everyone’s enthusiastic, the light levels are coming up, the weather’s looking good and you get inspired to go out into the garden," she continued.
"To come to Garden Rescue Live you don’t have to be a keen gardener - if you come along you will get inspired and get enthusiastic about that space you’ve got outside the back door no matter how tiny it is!”
Charlie's gardening career
Charlie joined the panel of presenters on Garden Rescue when it launched in 2016. Throughout her decade on the series, Charlie has helped design and give makeovers to gardens throughout the UK.
Prior to Garden Rescue, Charlie appeared on television screens across the nation on BBC's Ground Force from 1997 to 2005, which she co-hosted with Tommy Walsh and Alan Titchmarsh.
Speaking to HELLO! exclusively last year, Charlie's co-star Alan said of their friendship: "We bump into each other every now and again, we're very fond of one another."
"All three of us enjoyed doing it but it's been 23 years since we did that," Alan said of the makeover show.
