A third generation of Bergman beauty hit the catwalks in Italy this week, with actress Ingrid Bergman’s granddaughter Elettra Rossellini modelling at the Milan collections.

The 18-year-old daughter of Isabella Rossellini – who was for a long time the face of Lancome but now has her own eponymous range of cosmetics – took to the runway to show off creations for designers Silvia Tcherassi and Frankie Morello.

Elettra made her modelling debut earlier this year for the upmarket American company Abercrombie and Fitch. “She is as gorgeous as her grandmother,” said a spokesperson at the time.

Isabella is keeping mum on whether Elettra will, like her and Ingrid Bergman, be gracing the big screen at some point in the future. "I am a 'daughter of' and she is a 'daughter of' and a 'granddaughter of', so she has a double burden," says Isabella. “It may be too heavy a burden.”
