The special piece is a generational heirloom of the royal family which was first made for The Queen Mother and then it was passed down to Queen Elizabeth II. Both royal ladies cherished the item and their adoration for it was clear thanks to the amount of times they were seen wearing it. The brooch has been present for many special occasions including royal weddings, Christmas celebrations and Buckingham Palace receptions.

While the Cartier piece may have its sentimental value due to its long-standing history, Camilla also has a brand new brooch that marks a particularly historic occasion that has just taken place. During her state visit to the US with King Charles, she was pictured with a new brooch by First Lady Melania Trump.
It is customary for the King and Queen to swap gifts with their guests during a State Visit of this nature. The brooch, which has been estimated to be worth £30,000, was gifted to the Queen last September and she was seen to be wearing it while at The White House.
