As the glitterati prepare for the Academy Awards, fans have started making their predictions on what the Best Actress winner will wear – some are so confident they have already placed bets on what they think will be the winner's gown colour and designer.

Gwyneth Paltrow wowed in Tom Ford at the 2012 Oscars
When it comes to picking the ultimate Oscars dress, the stars tend to turn to the world's biggest designers. With 4/1 odds, Tom Ford is a firm favourite this year. The designer has already created unforgettable red carpet moments at the Oscars including the striking white cape dress which Gwyneth Paltrow rocked at the 2012 ceremony.
Julianne Moore dazzled in green at the 2003 Academy Awards
Regarding the colour, the Oscars always sees a wide range of colour palettes on the red carpet, but this year sees green being a strong contender for the Best Actress winner. Julianne Moore, who is nominated for Best Actress this year for her role in Still Alice, has already worn green to the Oscars in 2003 where she was also nominated, but did not take home the coveted statuette.
White and cream is also tipped to be a popular colour, after the Golden Globes saw Hollywood's leading ladies including Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike opting for pale and embellished gowns.
