The Keeping up with the Kardashians star showed off her edgy new look by wearing her hair slicked back teamed with a dramatic black eye make-up look as she and Kanye joined her mother Kris Jenner on the front row at the show. The trio stepped out to support Kim's half-sister Kendall Jenner who stormed the runway alongside Victoria's Secret angels Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, as well as supermodels including Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn and Lily Donaldson.

Kim and Kanye showed off their status as fashion's power couple in matching all-black ensembles. Kim wore a striking black minidress paired with tights and ankle boots, adding a black coat with sleek lapel detailing to complete her high fashion look. Meanwhile, Kanye looked effortlessly cool in a round-neck jumper and matching slouchy trousers.

While Kim has gone blonde before, this is the first time she has opted for a platinum shade, causing a social media frenzy as fans noted the sudden change. Even mum Kris took to Instagram to share her excitement at her daughter's drastic makeover. "Yep she's blond!!! #gorgeous #kanyewest #PFW balmainparis @kimkardashian" she captioned an image of Kim and Kanye.

Meanwhile, Kim's older sister Kourtney Kardashian revealed that while she was not in Paris, she was a big fan of her sister's blonde locks. "I wish I was in Paris!!" she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Kim. "#sTUNniNG!!" Kim had sparked speculation earlier that day that she had gone for a new look as she arrived in Paris hiding her trademark locks under an oversized thick woollen beanie. Rarely spotted wearing hats, Kim's ensemble caused celebrity watchers to speculate that she had returned to a blonde look, and a few wisps of fair hair were seen poking out of her hat in spite of her efforts to conceal her tresses.
