Considering she is one of the world’s most successful fashion designers of the moment, it’s no wonder David Beckham takes fashion advice from his wife Victoria. The former footballer has revealed his other half will always tell him if she doesn’t approve of his outfit. "The best fashion advice Victoria has probably given me is not to wear something," he told a reporter at the launch of his menswear collection for H&M in Madrid.

Given Victoria's hugely successful fashion design career, it's no wonder David takes her style advice

"She’s told me quite often because honesty is important when you’re in a relationship. She’s very honest, and if she doesn’t like what I’m wearing, she tells me straight. "He added: "She gives me advice because her vision of fashion os marvellous and her business is going great. I listen to her advice 99 per cent of the time. "David was greeted by hordes of waiting fans as he arrived in Madrid last night, all eager to get a glimpse of the handsome 39 year old.

"I am thrilled to continue and extend my collaboration with H&M by selecting my favourite pieces from this spring's Modern Essentials collection," he said in a statement. "Each piece is a new wardrobe classic that will update every man's spring wardrobe with great style. Marc Foster is one of my favourite directors – I can't wait to reveal the new campaign with H&M." The campaign, released a few weeks later, sparked a worldwide frenzy as David smouldered in the images posing in everything from t-shirts to sweaters. The accompanying video, also directed by Marc who has been behind films includingQuantum of Solace, had David make quite the entrance looking handsome in a black jacket and trousers, later revealing a grey jumper underneath.
