Bella Hadid is trying to use social media less as she's tired of it creating a "bad start" to the day. The 21-year-old model has over 15 million followers on Instagram and nearly one million on Twitter, meaning she receives her fair share of comments from various people online. It isn't all positive though, and Bella has realised that the more she uses her various platforms, the more criticism she receives which brings her down.

"I would really rather be off social media than on it," the brunette beauty told W magazine. "Especially these days; it makes me so crazy. When I take a couple days off social media it makes me so happy. In fact, I recently made this decision consciously, it just like sparked, that I no longer check my phone when I wake up. I think that's why sometimes you get off to a bad start in the morning, when you start your day with that energy. Like who wants to turn on their phone at 7 a.m. or whatever and see something negative about themselves?"

While she finds it "hard" being in the spotlight all the time, Bella tries not to think too much into it, acknowledging that it comes with her job.

Luckily the constant attention surrounding the star doesn't affect her love life; Bella is rumoured to be currently dating musician Drake, after previously being in a relationship with singer The Weeknd, and she didn't hold back in hinting at what she gets up to in her spare time during her interview with W.

Quizzed on her beauty secret weapon for the perfect first date, Bella quipped: "What? Uhh. Mm-hmm. I go on a lot of dates. All the time. Yes, in my spare time. I go on a lot of dates and put a lot of make-up on."

She also cited her favourite lipstick, naming scarlet shade Dior Rouge 999.
