Sophie, Countess of Wessex has seriously upped her fashion game this year, and in latest pictures of the Countess on Christmas day, the wife of Prince Edward looked incredible in a vibrant floral dress by Erdem in the most dazzling of bold berry shades. She joined the royal family on Christmas Day in Sandringham, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and stood her own in the designer number. Sophie accessorised the bold creation with classic navy high-heel pumps, a burgundy clutch bag and a subtle yet chic hat. Her blonde tresses were styled in a simple, fuss-free up-do which made the most of her dainty features.

The high-end fashion designer has fast become a favourite of the royal family, with Duchess Kate also donning his fabulous deigns on more than one occasion. Erdem is renowned for timeless yet feminine and pretty designs. Sophie has always maintained a ladylike and elegant look and some of her favourite designers range from Emilia Wickstead and Bruce Oldfield, whose pieces she has worn to many royal engagements over the years.

It's fabulous to see Sophie, 52, looking so immaculate for the festive celebrations. Her stunning formal look is worlds away from the casual attire she wore when she took part in a jungle trek in Brunei in October. The countess accompanied her husband Prince Edward on a royal visit to the Far East and she looked almost unrecognisable in a khaki, camouflage outfit which consisted of army trousers, a boxy shirt, a hat and a pair of chunky brown walking boots. Prince Edward's wife was even presented with a Nepalese knife used by Gurkhas during the cultural visit.
