Princess Beatrice stepped out in London on Thursday night, attending the ALICE + OLIVIA in-store London event days after partying in Italy.

The 37-year-old royal looked lovely in a bejewelled dress and matching blazer as she joined high-profile guests, including Nicky Hilton Rothschild and Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath, at the fashionable soiree.

Beatrice was the picture of elegance in her figure-hugging dress with a subtle side split running up her left leg.

The embroidered design was peppered with beautiful flowers and intricate leaves, which paired perfectly with her boxy jacket boasting crystal-embellished cuffs and collar.

It was unsurprising to see Princess Beatrice at the ALICE + OLIVIA event since the royal is a huge fan of the contemporary brand and has formed a friendship with the founder and designer, Stacey Bendet.

Since turning 30, Beatrice has evolved into a fully-fledged fashionista, enlisting the help of top stylist Olivia Buckingham to help her expand her style repertoire.

Buckingham worked as a fashion stylist, creative consultant and Vogue Hong Kong contributor for over a decade before working with the royal, encouraging her to adopt It-girl brands like The Vampire's Wife and Saloni, and push the sartorial boundaries.

Royal fashion expert Miranda Holder previously told HELLO!: "The Princess has always favoured more romantic, feminine silhouettes and daintier prints and textures such as florals and lace which really suit her.

"At the same time, she also has a more dramatic, experimental side (which is a stylist’s dream to work with) and is not afraid to try something different on the bolder side."

Beatrice's Italy trip

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter was last seen at a birthday bash in Italy.

The mother-of-two – who raises daughters Sienna and Athena with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi – was spotted at her good friend Lauren De Niro Pipher's 40th birthday party at the La Posta Vecchia Hotel near Rome.

In one picture, Beatrice was seen dancing on a table in her floral dress, having the time of her life.

"Friends joined from five countries. Some knew each other, many didn’t. No drama, no early mornings, barely any phones except to capture moments. Just presence, great wine, pasta at every meal, and more laughter than I can account for," Lauren wrote on social media, reflecting on the success of her party.

Royal rent update

Beagtrice's outing came hours before an investigation by the National Audit Office (NAO) dropped, revealing that King Charles has been quietly subsidising his nieces Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's accommodation.

Despite neither of them serving as a working royal, the 77-year-old monarch has been covering the cost of their below-market rent at official royal palaces.

Beatrice resides in an apartment at St James's Palace, while Princess Eugenie, 36, lives in Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace. Both residences are Royal Household properties located within occupied royal estates.

According to the NAO report into the royal family's residential property arrangements, the sisters' rents are already discounted because the properties require tenants with specific security clearance.

However, the investigation found that for several years, these adjusted rates were calculated using outdated open-market valuations.
